Oakwood Resort is seeking an energetic, hands-on, and guest-focused Restaurant Manager to lead daily operations of The Pier & Back Porch Restaurant, one of Lake Wawasee's premier dining destinations. We are looking for a leader who is passionate about hospitality, team development, and delivering outstanding service. Position Summary The Restaurant Manager is responsible for overseeing daily front-of-house operations, ensuring exceptional guest experiences, maintaining service standards, and leading a team of servers, bartenders, hosts, and support staff. This role works closely with the culinary team and resort leadership to achieve operational and financial goals. Responsibilities Manage the day-to-day operations of the restaurant and bar. Lead, coach, and motivate front-of-house staff to deliver exceptional guest service. Recruit, hire, train, schedule, and evaluate team members. Ensure compliance with all company policies, health regulations, and alcohol service requirements. Handle guest concerns professionally and resolve issues promptly. Monitor labor costs and assist with budgeting and financial performance. Conduct pre-shift meetings and maintain high service standards. Work alongside staff during peak service periods and special events. Manage inventory, ordering, and vendor relationships for front-of-house supplies. Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure seamless communication and execution. Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming restaurant environment. Qualifications Minimum of 2 years of restaurant management experience preferred. Strong leadership, communication, and team-building skills. Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Excellent guest service and problem-solving abilities. Experience with scheduling, labor management, and inventory control.
