Pizza Uncommon is opening a new location and is seeking high-performance Assistant Managers to help lead daily operations, develop team members, and drive a strong culture of accountability and service. This role is designed for individuals ready to take the next step in leadership—owning people development, supporting hiring efforts, and contributing to operational decision-making—while continuing to grow toward General Manager and beyond. Key Responsibilities Lead and oversee high-volume shifts across front and back of house Set and maintain the standard for energy, accountability, and service Actively manage team performance, providing real-time coaching and feedback Support hiring efforts, including participating in interviews and candidate evaluation Assist in training, onboarding, and developing new and existing team members Handle customer concerns with professionalism and ownership Ensure adherence to cleanliness, food safety, and operational systems Complete and manage inventory counts and order forms to maintain proper stock levels Step in as acting manager when needed, ensuring smooth operations at all times Leadership Expectations Take ownership of team performance and shift outcomes Hold team members accountable to standards in a constructive and consistent way Lead by example through work ethic, attitude, and urgency Identify opportunities for improvement and take initiative to act on them Contribute to a positive, high-performing team culture Qualifications Strong leadership presence and initiative Ability to stay composed and decisive in fast-paced environments Clear, direct, and professional communication skills Experience in coaching or managing others preferred Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Physically able to work on your feet for extended periods Night availability required Open availability for at least 2 out of 3 weekend days (Friday-Sunday) Prior restaurant experience preferred Compensation $19/hr Performance-based raises and advancement opportunities Benefits One complimentary food item per shift 50% employee discount when personally purchasing Structured development toward General Manager Clear and consistent internal promotion pathway Growth & Development At Pizza Uncommon, Assistant Manager is not a final step—it's a launch point.
