Bakery Manager

We are taking over a well-established local retail bakery with two locations in Topeka and are looking for a strong Bakery Manager to lead operations and drive growth. This is a hands-on leadership role in a niche specialty bakery with strong morning traffic, a loyal customer base, and significant expansion potential under new ownership. The right candidate will have the opportunity to grow with the business and play a key role in its future success.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead, hire, train, schedule, and develop front-of-house and support teams across both locations Drive daily sales, average ticket size, and morning peak-hour performance Execute marketing, promotions, loyalty programs, and seasonal campaigns Manage inventory ordering, cost control, cash handling, and waste reduction Ensure exceptional cleanliness, food safety standards, and outstanding customer service Work closely with the baking team on production needs and quality control Report key metrics and growth initiatives directly to the owners

Requirements:

3+ years of restaurant or retail management experience (bakery, café, or quick-service food service strongly preferred) Proven ability to lead teams, drive sales, and control costs Strong organizational and customer-service leadership skills Experience with promotions and team scheduling Flexible availability including early mornings, weekends, and holidays Food safety certification (ServSafe or equivalent) preferred If you are a motivated leader who thrives in a fast-paced bakery environment and wants to grow with a business that has real expansion potential, we want to hear from you!

Pay:

$26.00 - $35.00 per hour
