M-F, 8 hours per day between 6:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m.; wages starting at $20.75 dependent upon experience and training/education
Essential Functions:
Directs food and nutrition services personnel (e.g. performing kitchen duties, assigning work schedules) for the purpose of guiding the individuals in performing their functions in a safe and efficient manner; calculates recipe quantities and orders food and supplies for the purpose of preparing the established menu; supervises the preparation of food items for the purpose of meeting mandated nutritional requirements and projected meal requirements; supervises the operation of equipment and clean up of utensils, equipment, and storage, food preparation and serving areas for the purpose of maintaining safe and sanitary conditions; prepares documentation (e.g. production records, meal reports, food safety, employee time sheets) for the purpose of providing written support and conveying information; trains employees and evaluates job performance for the purpose of achieving success in the child nutrition program.
Qualifications:
Job related kitchen experience; ability to perform basic math functions; working knowledge of safe food handling procedures and food safety training, verbal and written communication skills, performing standard bookkeeping and maintaining accurate records, problem solving and directing others.
