This pivotal role combines culinary expertise with strong management skills to ensure exceptional food quality, efficient service, and a positive dining experience for our guests. As a Kitchen Manager, you will be responsible for maintaining high standards of food safety, managing inventory, supervising staff, and ensuring the smooth running of all kitchen functions. Your leadership will inspire your team to deliver outstanding hospitality and uphold our commitment to excellence in the food industry. Duties Oversee all aspects of kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and presentation to ensure consistency and quality. Manage inventory control by monitoring stock levels, ordering supplies, and minimizing waste through effective food management practices. Supervise and train kitchen staff on food safety standards, proper handling techniques, and culinary procedures to foster a skilled and compliant team. Utilize POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for order processing, cash handling, and sales reconciliation. Coordinate shift management by scheduling staff, assigning tasks, and ensuring efficient workflow during busy hours in quick service or casual dining environments. Maintain compliance with health regulations and safety standards related to food handling, sanitation, and workplace safety. Lead staff recruitment efforts by interviewing candidates, onboarding new team members, and supporting ongoing training & development initiatives. Collaborate with restaurant management to develop menus that meet customer expectations while adhering to budget constraints. Handle customer service issues promptly to ensure guest satisfaction remains high. Support catering or banquet operations when applicable, including food production for special events or hotel services. Qualifications Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, and kitchen management within fast food or casual dining settings. Strong supervisory skills with a background in managing teams in a hospitality or restaurant environment. Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS; cash handling experience is essential. Knowledge of food safety protocols and standards for both quick service & fine dining establishments. Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage inventory control efficiently. Previous experience in restaurant management or hospitality management roles preferred. Ability to train staff effectively while fostering a positive team environment through leadership & development initiatives. Experience with budgeting, shift management, and food production processes is highly desirable. Exceptional customer service skills with a focus on delivering memorable dining experiences. Culinary experience coupled with strong knowledge of food handling regulations ensures high-quality standards are maintained at all times.
