Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a talented and experienced Head Chef to lead our culinary team in delivering exceptional dining experiences. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in food production, menu planning, and kitchen management, with a passion for creating high-quality dishes that reflect our commitment to excellence. As the Head Chef, you will oversee all kitchen operations, manage staff, and ensure adherence to food safety standards while maintaining a positive and efficient work environment. Responsibilities Lead and manage the kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to ensure high standards of food preparation and presentation. Develop and design innovative menus that cater to diverse tastes while considering dietary restrictions. Oversee food production processes, ensuring consistency in quality and flavor across all dishes. Manage inventory control, including ordering supplies and maintaining stock levels to minimize waste. Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment. Train and mentor kitchen staff on cooking techniques, food handling procedures, and menu items. Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service during busy periods. Monitor kitchen operations, including shift management, to maintain efficiency during peak hours. Implement cost control measures while maintaining quality standards in food service. Skills Proven experience in a leadership role within a culinary setting, such as Head Chef or Executive Chef. Strong background in fine dining and catering environments with banquet experience preferred. Expertise in food management practices including inventory management and food safety protocols. Excellent cooking skills with an understanding of various cuisines and dietary needs. Ability to manage a team effectively while fostering a collaborative work atmosphere. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in menu planning and food preparation. Knowledge of restaurant management principles including shift management and hospitality best practices. Culinary experience with proficiency in various cooking techniques and styles. Familiarity with bartending is a plus but not required.
