Job Description
Overview Join our dynamic team as a Kitchen Manager and lead the culinary operations of a vibrant, fast-paced food service environment. In this role, you will oversee daily kitchen activities, ensure exceptional food quality, and maintain a seamless flow of service. Your leadership will inspire your team to deliver outstanding customer experiences while upholding safety and sanitation standards. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated culinary professional to showcase their management skills and passion for food. Responsibilities Supervise all kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and presentation, ensuring consistency and quality standards are met. Manage inventory control by monitoring stock levels, ordering supplies, and minimizing waste to optimize food costs. Oversee the training and development of kitchen staff, fostering a team-oriented environment focused on excellence in food service. Implement and enforce food safety protocols in compliance with health regulations to maintain a safe working environment. Coordinate with front-of-house teams to ensure smooth shift transitions, timely service, and high customer satisfaction. Utilize POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for order processing, cash handling, and sales reconciliation. Conduct regular staff performance evaluations and assist in interviewing potential team members to build a skilled workforce. Experience Proven management experience in a quick service or fast food restaurant, casual dining, or fine dining setting with supervisory responsibilities. Extensive knowledge of food preparation techniques, culinary standards, and kitchen safety procedures. Hands-on experience with POS systems including Aloha POS and Micros POS; familiarity with cash handling procedures. Demonstrated ability to manage inventory control, budgeting, and food cost analysis effectively. Strong leadership skills with experience in staff training, development, and performance management. Background in hospitality management or restaurant management roles within the food industry is highly desirable. Prior experience working in hotel or catering environments is a plus; familiarity with banquet or bar service is advantageous.
