Role Description This is a full-time, on-site attorney role based in the downtown New Orleans, LA, office for a Corporate Immigration Lead Associate Attorney, with at least three to five years of practical experience. The role requires the delivery of immigration legal services to individual and corporate clients who have corporate and/or non-corporate immigration needs, preparing petitions for employment based and non-employment based (PERM

) status, managing an active business, family, consular processing and guest labor (H-1B

) immigration docket, conducting due diligence, providing counsel on compliance with immigration laws, supporting and administering the firm-wide immigration needs. Key responsibilities include ensuring adherence to legal and financial regulations, practicing immigration law, communicating (verbally and in writing) in Spanish, and collaborating with varied internal and external teams (and leadership) for streamlined processes. The ideal candidate shall deliver excellent legal service to individuals, corporations, and internal and external stakeholders, and must be licensed to practice law. Qualifications Strong Analytical Skills to evaluate immigration law issues and their application in a full-service law practice setting that cares for both corporate and non-corporate immigration issues (for various industry and non-industry stakeholders) Excellent written and verbal Communication skills in English and Spanish that meet the needs of clients and internal teams Mastery of Immigration Law and the demonstrated ability to manage the procedural and practical nuances of Immigration Law and the current U.S immigration system/processes Knowledge of Finance (Government Fee Compliance) and the ability to ensure compliance with financial and legal standards governing lawyers Proven ability to manage immigration legal service delivery requiring Due Diligence and attention to detail Relevant experience in immigration legal services is required Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree with active bar admittance is preferred Strong organizational and time management skills to capably handle multiple assignments efficiently and to care for the broad client needs throughout the international community and within the corporate labor and employment practice group
