As we continue to grow, we're looking for a hands-on Chef Manager to lead our Boston Seaport location. This is an ideal opportunity for a culinary leader who enjoys building teams, driving results, and being actively involved in day-to-day operations. Position Overview The Chef Manager is responsible for overseeing all culinary and operational aspects of the restaurant, including food quality, team leadership, inventory management, labor controls, guest experience, and financial performance. This role combines the leadership responsibilities of a General Manager with the culinary expertise of an Executive Chef, making it perfect for someone who thrives both on the line and in managing a business. What You'll DoCulinary Leadership Lead all kitchen operations and food production Ensure consistency, quality, and presentation standards are met daily Maintain food safety, sanitation, and HACCP compliance Manage prep systems, pars, recipes, and production schedules Minimize waste and maximize product utilization Team Leadership Recruit, hire, train, and develop hourly team members Foster a positive, high-performance culture Conduct coaching, performance reviews, and ongoing training Build schedules that balance guest service and labor goals Lead by example during service periods Operations Management Oversee daily restaurant operations Ensure exceptional guest experiences and hospitality standards Manage inventory, ordering, receiving, and vendor relationships Monitor labor, food cost, and controllable expenses Execute opening, closing, and operational procedures Financial Accountability Drive sales and profitability Achieve food cost and labor targets Analyze weekly P&L performance Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and profitability Maintain accurate reporting and operational records What We're Looking ForRequired Qualifications 3+ years of restaurant management experience 2+ years in a culinary leadership role Strong knowledge of kitchen operations and food safety Experience managing labor and food cost controls Proven ability to lead, coach, and develop teams Strong organizational and communication skills Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment Preferred Qualifications Experience with sushi, Asian-inspired cuisine, or fast-casual concepts Multi-unit or high-volume restaurant experience ServSafe Manager Certification Experience with inventory management and restaurant technology platforms Compensation & BenefitsCompensation $80,000•$100,000 annual salary Performance-based growth opportunities Advancement opportunities within a growing hospitality group
