WORK Inc., one of New England's most progressive providers of services to adults with disabilities is seeking an exceptional person who is committed to work that makes life better for others. Currently, we are looking for an Assistant House Manager who will support individuals who are deaf and hard of hearing served in their own home by promoting independence while empowering and enhancing their quality of life. General Responsibilities include but not limited to: Assisting in the development of maximum independence, responsibility and self-worth. Integration of quality life ideals into daily management and program development. Preparation and implementation of program goals, individuals' service plans, progress reports and treatment plans. Nurturing a positive relationship with individuals, families, guardians and service providers. Providing for appropriate healthcare, medical and dental needs and promoting healthy lifestyle choices. Providing a climate for motivation and creating a supportive working relationship. Preparing and maintaining case records and program reports. Supervisory Responsibilities include but not limited to: Supervising and assigning duties to direct care staff when house manager is unavailable. Carrying the emergency cellphone and attending to program emergencies at a moment's notice when house manager is unavailable. Attending administrative and clinical team meetings in the absence of the house manager. Training and orienting new employees to the residential program. Addressing and resolving any conflicts in a timely manner. Other administrative and managerial duties as assigned by the management. Minimum requirements:
Must be at least 18 years old. Possession of a valid driver's license and acceptable driving record. High School diploma and computer skills. Related college degree and/or minimum of one plus years' experience. Experience working with individuals with intellectual/developmental disabilities a plus. The successful candidate will work direct care and flexible hours to facilitate administrative duties weekly.
