Job Description

Margeaux Supper Parlor, a uniquely convivial fine dining restaurant, is seeking a passionate and experienced Restaurant Manager. Margeaux is looking for a hands on leader who can maintain high expectations of service while perpetuating a warm and welcoming guest experience. As Restaurant Manager, you would be responsible for overseeing operations during service, training new staff, and performing minimal administrative work (such as entering cash outs). Margeaux Supper Parlor has recently grown in its capacity as a wedding and private events venue. This exciting visibility necessitates additional management who can lead staff and assist in the execution of formal high volume dinners and events. Hiring priority will be given to candidates with immediate availability, and prior experience in a formal or fine dining establishment. All candidates must be able to provide at least two recent references upon request.

    this role will begin as an hourly position, until the hired candidate is fully trained in all related responsibilities. Then, there will be an opportunity for this position to become full time & salaried.
  • Responsibilities:
  • Guest Experience:
    perpetuate Margeaux's philosophy of putting guests first. As Margeaux Supper Parlor is located inside a hotel, staff are expected to be hospitable and welcoming always.
  • Service and Staff Leadership:
    responsible for onboarding and training new staff, maintaining consistent standards of service amongst staff, managing day-of staff scheduling and availability, and perpetuating a warm and team-first culture
  • Event Execution:
    Co-manage and execute events alongside Margeaux's Event Coordinator, including private dinners, functions, and weddings
Shift Management:
record daily sales and tips, compile receipts and purchases as needed, and assist Margeaux's management team in scheduling Additional paid opportunities are available for those who have prior experience in restaurant bookkeeping or accounting
Qualifications:
  • 1+ years of restaurant management experience in a full service, fine dining restaurant or related venue
  • 4+ years of restaurant experience
  • TIPS, ServSafe, and Crowd Manager certifications
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
Additional Preferred Qualifications:
  • Fluent in Spanish
  • Familiarity with New Orleans, particularly the region's cocktails, cuisine, music, culture, and traditions
  • 2+ years formal dining management experience
  • Familiarity with OpenTable, 7Shifts, and Square POS
  • Fine wine and craft cocktail knowledge
