Job Summary We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Assistant General Manager to join our brand new restaurant in the elevated dining sector. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a passion for culinary excellence, and a commitment to delivering exceptional customer service. This role involves supporting the General Manager in overseeing daily operations, ensuring quality food production, and fostering a positive work environment for staff training and development. Responsibilities Assist the General Manager in managing daily operations of the restaurant, ensuring adherence to company standards and policies. Oversee food production processes to maintain high-quality standards and compliance with health regulations. Conduct interviews and participate in the hiring process to build a skilled and efficient team. Develop and implement training programs for staff to enhance their skills and improve service delivery. Monitor inventory levels, manage supplies, and ensure proper kitchen operations using Toast POS systems. Foster a positive work culture by motivating staff and promoting teamwork within the kitchen and dining areas. Address customer inquiries and complaints promptly to ensure satisfaction and loyalty. Assist in financial management tasks including budgeting, forecasting, and reporting as needed. Qualifications Previous experience in a leadership role within casual dining or quick service fast food restaurants is preferred. Strong background in culinary arts or food production with an understanding of kitchen operations. Proven ability in staff training development with excellent interpersonal skills. Familiarity with Toast POS systems is a plus but not required; willingness to learn is essential. Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to managing restaurant operations. Must be able to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
