Bar Manager

Job Overview We are seeking an energetic and dynamic Bar Manager to lead our bar operations with enthusiasm and expertise. In this pivotal role, you will oversee daily bar activities, ensure exceptional customer service, and manage a talented team of bartenders and staff. Your leadership will drive the creation of a lively, welcoming atmosphere while maintaining high standards for food and beverage quality, safety, and cleanliness. Responsibilities Supervise all aspects of bar operations, including food preparation, beverage service, and customer interactions to ensure a vibrant and efficient environment. Bartending 3-4 shifts a week + manage 1-2 shifts per week. More hourly while bartending. Manage inventory control by monitoring stock levels, ordering supplies, and minimizing waste to optimize profitability. Oversee the use of POS systems such as Toast POS for accurate cash handling, order processing, and sales tracking. Train, develop, and motivate staff through ongoing training sessions on food handling, customer service excellence, safety protocols, and operational procedures. Ensure compliance with food safety standards and health regulations to maintain a clean, safe environment for both staff and guests. Handle shift management by scheduling staff effectively to meet business needs while fostering teamwork and high performance. Coordinate with kitchen management on food production, catering orders, banquets, and special events to deliver seamless service experiences. Lead by example in delivering outstanding hospitality during casual dining, fine dining, or quick service settings. Conduct interviewing and hiring processes to build a skilled team aligned with our service standards. Manage budgets and control costs related to food & beverage expenses while maximizing revenue opportunities. Experience Proven management experience in a fast-paced restaurant or bar environment with supervising responsibilities. Extensive knowledge of food preparation techniques, culinary practices, and food safety regulations. Hands-on experience with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS for transaction processing and reporting. Strong background in inventory control, cash handling, and food & beverage management within hospitality settings. Demonstrated leadership skills in team management, training & development, and staff supervision. Experience working in various restaurant formats including casual dining, fine dining, catering or banquet services is highly desirable. Familiarity with kitchen management processes including food production, catering coordination, and culinary standards. Excellent customer service skills with an ability to create welcoming atmospheres that encourage repeat business.
