$55,000•70,000 per year, based on experience Floor Manager•Village Tavern, Salem MA Village Tavern is seeking a strong, hospitality-driven Floor Manager to help lead daily front-of-house operations at our busy full-service restaurant in Salem, Massachusetts. We are looking for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, leads by example, and takes pride in delivering great guest experiences while supporting and developing the service team. The Floor Manager plays a key role in overseeing service, maintaining standards, supporting staff, and ensuring smooth communication between the front and back of house. Responsibilities Oversee daily dining room and bar floor operations Lead and support servers, bartenders, hosts, bussers, food runners, and support staff Ensure guests receive friendly, attentive, and efficient service Handle guest concerns professionally and resolve issues in real time Help manage service flow, table turns, seating, and overall floor organization Maintain cleanliness, appearance, and organization of all front-of-house areas Communicate clearly with the kitchen and management team throughout service Assist with staff training, coaching, and accountability Support opening and closing procedures Monitor staff performance and uphold service standards, policies, and professionalism Step in wherever needed during busy shifts to support operations Help create a positive, team-oriented work environment Qualifications Previous restaurant management or supervisory experience preferred Strong knowledge of full-service restaurant operations Excellent communication and leadership skills Ability to stay calm, organized, and effective in a high-volume setting Strong guest service instincts and problem-solving ability Professional, reliable, and hands-on approach Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed Experience with POS systems and restaurant scheduling is a plus What We're Looking For A manager who leads from the floor, not from the office Someone who is highly visible, approachable, and engaged with both staff and guests A team player who can hold standards while still building morale A hospitality-focused leader who understands the importance of consistency, urgency, and guest satisfaction Compensation & Schedule Full-time position $55,000•70,000 annually , depending on experience Days, nights, weekends, and holiday availability required (but not always scheduled) REQUIREMENTS 2
years of experience Leadership skills Food cost, Inventory control, and labor control Customer service oriented TIPs certified and allergen awareness certificate POS experience Bar knowledge considered an asset Budgeting and payroll cost experience is considered an asset TEAMWORK and a GREAT attitude are required!
