Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and energetic Kitchen Manager to lead our culinary team and oversee daily kitchen operations. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for ensuring exceptional food quality, maintaining efficient workflow, and fostering a positive environment that promotes teamwork and excellence. Your leadership will drive the success of our food service offerings across various dining formats, including casual, fine dining, catering, and quick service establishments. The ideal candidate is passionate about food preparation, possesses strong management skills, and thrives in a fast-paced hospitality setting. Responsibilities Oversee all aspects of kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and presentation to ensure high standards of quality and consistency. Manage inventory control by monitoring stock levels, ordering supplies, and minimizing waste to optimize food costs. Supervise kitchen staff through effective training, development, and performance management to foster a motivated and skilled team. Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain rigorous standards for food handling and sanitation. Coordinate with front-of-house teams to ensure smooth service flow during shifts while managing POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS for accurate order processing and cash handling. Lead staff scheduling, shift management, and labor cost control to maximize operational efficiency. Conduct interviewing and onboarding of new team members to build a competent culinary team aligned with company standards. Implement food production processes for various service types including casual dining, banquet events, catering, and bar service. Monitor customer feedback to continuously improve food quality and service experience. Assist in budgeting efforts by controlling costs related to food purchasing, labor, and equipment maintenance. Skills Extensive experience in food preparation, cooking techniques, and kitchen management within the hospitality industry. Strong leadership skills with proven staff training, supervision, and team management capabilities. Knowledge of food safety standards and regulations to ensure compliance at all times. Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage inventory control effectively. Experience in managing budgets, controlling costs, and optimizing operational efficiency. Background in diverse dining environments including casual dining, fine dining, catering or hotel settings is highly desirable. Exceptional customer service skills with a focus on delivering memorable dining experiences. Ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
