Role:
Are you a dedicated caregiver looking to take the next step in your career? Join our team as an Assistant House Manager ! In this role, you will balance rewarding direct care with essential leadership responsibilities. You will work closely with the Residential House Manager to ensure the household runs smoothly and, most importantly, that our residents receive the highest quality of individualized support. If you are a supportive team player who advocates for others, we want to hear from you!
Key Responsibilities Individual Support & Advocacy:
Implement Individual Service Plans (ISPs) and accurately document progress. Continuously evaluate the appropriateness of ISPs to best serve our residents. Establish and maintain strong communication with day, social, and support services to effectively advocate for residents. Communicate with residents' families as delegated by the Residential House Manager.
Household & Operational Leadership:
Share in the daily operations of the household, managing specific areas designated by the House Manager. Report critical information regarding individual and site needs to the House Manager. Implement site policies that reflect the operational needs of the home. Provide direct care coverage when scheduled, including awake overnight shifts.
Team Collaboration & Administration:
Participate as an active team member, offering feedback, support, and peer evaluations. Attend regularly scheduled staff meetings and professional development programs. Carry out daily duties consistent with agency personnel policies and procedures.
Qualifications & Skills Requirements:
A genuine interest in working with adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Valid Class D Driver's License . MAP Certification (Medication Administration Program). Training provided. Must obtain certification within the first 60 days of employment. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Strong organizational skills with the ability to take full responsibility for assigned tasks.
Preferred Experience:
Prior experience or education pertaining to individuals with developmental disabilities is highly preferred.
