Overview We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Food Service Manager (Temporary) to oversee daily food operations within our facility. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in food service management, including supervising staff, managing inventory, and ensuring compliance with safety standards. This role offers an exciting opportunity to lead our culinary team in delivering high-quality meals and exceptional service to our residents. Responsibilities Supervise all aspects of food preparation, ensuring adherence to safety and sanitation standards. Manage inventory control, including ordering, stock rotation, and minimizing waste using systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS. Train, develop, and supervise kitchen staff to ensure efficient performance and excellent customer service. Coordinate shift management, ensuring proper staffing levels and smooth operational flow during peak hours. Maintain compliance with health regulations, food safety protocols, and industry standards for quality assurance. Collaborate with dietary and nursing teams to accommodate special dietary needs for residents while maintaining high culinary standards. Skills Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, and kitchen management within quick service, fast food, casual dining, or fine dining environments. Strong knowledge of POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS for order processing and inventory tracking. Demonstrated ability in managing food safety practices, food handling, and sanitation procedures. Effective leadership skills with experience in staff training, supervision, and team management. Excellent organizational skills with the ability to handle budgeting, food production planning, and cost control measures. Background in hospitality management or restaurant management with a focus on customer service excellence. Experience with catering, banquet services, or hotel food operations is advantageous; familiarity with coffee or barista services is a plus. Pay:
$37.00 - $40.00 per hour
