This energetic role requires a passionate leader who thrives in fast-paced environments and is dedicated to delivering exceptional customer experiences. The Food Service Manager is directly responsible for maximizing food sales, delivering top-tier customer service, maintaining rigid health and safety standards, and keeping inventory costs low. Your expertise in food industry standards, culinary techniques, and hospitality management will drive the success of our establishment while fostering a positive team atmosphere. Responsibilities Manage the entire food section, focusing heavily on hot food programs (like hand-breaded Chester's Chicken, sides, and the heated display cases) Manage daily operations, including shift management, staff scheduling, and ensuring adherence to food safety and sanitation standards. Recruit, hire, train, and schedule staff. You will actively appraise team performance, give feedback, and coach employees to become specialists in specific kitchen areas. Supervise and train staff on food preparation, cooking techniques, POS systems , and customer service protocols to maintain high-quality service. Oversee inventory control processes, including ordering, stock rotation, and minimizing waste to optimize food costs. Handle cash transactions accurately using POS systems, perform cash handling duties, and reconcile daily sales reports. Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and proper food handling procedures across all kitchen and front-of-house activities. Monitor customer feedback and resolve any issues promptly to uphold excellent hospitality standards. Support budgeting efforts by tracking expenses and implementing cost-control measures without compromising quality. Experience Required Extensive background in food preparation, cooking techniques, and kitchen management within casual dining or fine dining settings. ServSafe Certification (Required; Yatco provides training if update is needed). Proven work experience as a Restaurant Manager, Kitchen Manager, or QSR General Manager with 2- 3 references. Strong knowledge of food and beverage logistics, with a knack for leadership, team motivation, and conflict resolution. Physical capability to stand for long periods, traverse all areas of the store, and lift up to 50 lbs. Knowledge of inventory control practices, food safety regulations, and hospitality industry standards. Experience in catering, banquet services or hotel food operations is a plus.
Pay:
$45,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
