Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Deli Manager to oversee daily operations within our deli department. This leadership role involves managing food preparation, ensuring exceptional customer service, supervising staff, and maintaining high standards of food safety and quality. The ideal candidate will possess strong management skills, culinary expertise, and a passion for delivering outstanding food service in a fast-paced environment. This position offers an opportunity to lead a dynamic team while ensuring operational excellence and customer satisfaction. Duties Oversee daily deli operations, including food preparation, cooking, and presentation to ensure quality standards are met consistently. Manage inventory control by monitoring stock levels, ordering supplies, and minimizing waste to optimize profitability. Supervise staff training, development, and scheduling to foster a motivated and efficient team. Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene. Assist in managing budgets, controlling costs, and implementing strategies to improve overall deli performance. Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries, resolving issues promptly, and ensuring a positive shopping experience. Support shift management duties, including opening and closing procedures, staff coordination, and quality assurance. Participate in hiring processes by interviewing candidates and selecting qualified personnel for deli operations. Experience Proven management experience within a quick service or fast food restaurant environment; prior assistant manager experience preferred. Extensive knowledge of food preparation techniques, cooking methods, and food handling safety standards. Demonstrated supervisory skills with experience in staff training, team management, and performance evaluation. Background in food service management within casual dining or fine dining settings; hotel or catering experience is advantageous. Strong understanding of inventory control, budgeting, and cost management principles in the food industry. Excellent communication skills with the ability to lead a diverse team effectively while maintaining high customer service standards. Experience with kitchen management, food production processes, and maintaining compliance with health regulations.
