Job Description

About the
Role:
We are looking for an organized, reliable, and proactive part-time Family Assistant / Household Manager to support our family in Bethesda (located near Pyle Middle School). This position is 20-25 hours per week, focused entirely on managing our afternoon and early evening infrastructure while parents are working. Our ideal candidate is a reliable self-starter who loves to cook, enjoys being around high school-aged teens, and excels at keeping a household running smoothly.
Schedule:
Monday through Friday, roughly 2:30 PM to 6:30 PM or 7:30 PM (approx. 4-5 hours per day).
Key Responsibilities:
Transportation:
Safe driving for two high schoolers to afternoon activities, practices, and appointments.
Teen Support:
Keeping the teens on task with homework schedules.
Household Errands:
Managing weekly grocery shopping, food picking-up, dry cleaning runs, and occasional household errands.
Meal Preparation:
Planning and cooking healthy family dinners daily.
Household Maintenance:
Managing daily upkeep, including family laundry and keeping the kitchen and living areas tidy (we have a separate deep cleaner for heavy cleaning).
Compensation & Benefits:
Paid Legally:
This is a fully legal, W-2 employment position paid via a professional payroll service.
Guaranteed Hours:
We offer guaranteed hours every week for financial stability.
Vehicle Expenses:
We provide standard IRS mileage reimbursement for all driving required while on the job.
Requirements:
Strong communication skills Clean driving record and a reliable personal vehicle. Strong organizational, meal-planning, and time-management skills. Comfortable working in a home with a pet (dog). Must abide by a strictly smoke-free workplace and property policy.
Pay:
$25.00 - $35.00 per hour Application Question(s): Are you able to reliably commute to Bethesda, MD (near Pyle Middle School) for afternoon and early evening shifts? Do you have a clean driving record and a reliable personal vehicle to use for transporting teens and running household errands (mileage reimbursed)? Are you comfortable with daily meal planning and cooking family dinners as a core part of your routine? Please briefly describe your relevant experience with household management, family meal preparation, and/or keeping busy teens on track.
