Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Kitchen Manager / Head Chef to lead our culinary team with passion, precision, and creativity. In this pivotal role, you will oversee all aspects of kitchen operations, ensuring the delivery of exceptional food quality and service in a fast-paced, hospitality-focused environment. This position offers an exciting opportunity to showcase your culinary expertise while managing daily kitchen functions with energy and enthusiasm. The Horseshoe Pub Bar/ Restaurant is known for there diverse menu of wings, burgers, salads, and more, with options for dine-in, takeout. The Horseshoe can go from 0 to 100 people in minutes. you must be able to handle a fast pace environment. Responsibilities Lead and supervise all kitchen staff, fostering a positive team environment focused on excellence in food service and safety. Oversee food production, ensuring high-quality dishes are prepared consistently according to established standards. Manage inventory control and food handling procedures to minimize waste and optimize resources efficiently. Develop and plan menus that highlight culinary creativity while adhering to dietary restrictions and guest preferences. Maintain strict compliance with food safety regulations and sanitation standards across all kitchen operations. Coordinate catering events, banquets, and special functions, ensuring seamless execution from setup to service. Monitor kitchen workflow, and ensure timely delivery of orders during busy periods. Train staff on cooking techniques, food presentation, and customer service to uphold our reputation for fine dining excellence. Requirements Proven experience in large-scale food production environments. Demonstrated supervising experience with a track record of effective team management and leadership skills. Strong background in department procedures, food safety practices, and inventory management. Extensive knowledge of food preparation techniques, menu planning, and catering operations within the hospitality industry. Hands-on experience in restaurant management including shift management, food service management, and kitchen operations. Familiarity with culinary standards related to food handling, inventory control, and kitchen safety regulations. Excellent communication skills coupled with the ability to motivate a diverse team of culinary professionals.
