The family has eight children, ages 6 to 19, with the oldest currently away at college, and two friendly Labrador Retrievers. The home is a 10-bedroom, 6.5-bath residence across four levels. One parent works from home, while the other manages the rhythm of the household. The family's Catholic faith is an important and visible part of daily life. This is a busy, lively, relationship-oriented home. The older children are largely independent, while the younger children, ages 6 and 10, require structure, support, and occasional hands-on care. Candidates must have previous childcare experience and feel confident stepping into a nanny-style support role when needed. Schedule Monday through Friday 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM with a one-hour lunch Summer schedule may offer slight flexibility based on household needs Compensation and Benefits $110,000-$120,000 annually, gross, depending on experience 15 paid vacation days 8 paid holidays Vehicle provided for some work-related driving Mileage reimbursed if personal vehicle is used Start Date As soon as the right candidate is identified Position Responsibilities Household Management Oversee the day-to-day flow of the home, ensuring the household remains organized, stocked, and running smoothly. Responsibilities include managing vendors, coordinating repairs and maintenance, maintaining household inventory, running errands, grocery shopping, and handling general household organization. A professional cleaning team services the home three times per week; however, daily light tidying, pick-up, and home reset will be part of the role. Childcare and Family Support This position requires prior hands-on childcare experience. Candidates must be comfortable supporting younger children, assisting with morning and after-school routines, providing structure during school breaks and summer months, and offering nanny-style coverage when parents are traveling, in appointments, or otherwise unavailable. School drop-off and pick-up may be required. Candidates must be comfortable driving a 12-passenger van. Meal Planning and Household Meals Research, plan, and prepare simple, low-carb, family-friendly meals. The ideal candidate should be comfortable with nutrition-focused cooking and helping keep the household organized around meals and food planning. Calendar, Administrative, and Personal Support Manage personal and professional calendars, schedule appointments, coordinate meetings and social engagements, provide reminders, and help ensure the family's daily schedule runs smoothly. Events, Activities, and Travel Research and plan family activities, outings, gatherings, and events. Assist with logistics, vendor coordination, and domestic and international travel planning as needed. Vendor and Communication Liaison Serve as a professional point of contact between the family, vendors, service providers, babysitters, and other household contacts. Handle communication with discretion, professionalism, and strong follow-through. Pet Support Assist with feeding the family's two Labrador Retrievers as needed and help coordinate veterinary or grooming appointments. Ideal Candidate The ideal candidate is polished, proactive, grounded, and highly organized. They should bring strong private service experience, sound judgment, and the ability to create structure in a busy household. Candidates must have previous childcare experience and be comfortable supporting children in a hands-on capacity. Prior experience as a Household Manager, Family Assistant, Nanny/Household Manager, Executive Assistant, or Personal Assistant within a private home is strongly preferred. The right person will be calm, discreet, adaptable, and confident in a high-energy household with children, dogs, and many moving parts.
