Our venues—Brick South, Halo, and The Depot—are known for their character, flexibility, and unforgettable atmosphere. Position Summary The Event Manager on Duty (MOD) is the on-site lead for events at Thompson's Point, responsible for executing event plans, coordinating vendors, and ensuring a seamless guest experience. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in live event environments, enjoys problem-solving, and brings a confident, service-oriented approach to day-of operations. Schedule & Availability This is a per diem, as-needed position based on our event calendar. Shifts are typically evenings and weekends, and vary depending on event bookings. Ideal for candidates seeking flexible, part-time work in a dynamic event environment. Key Responsibilities Event Execution Serve as the primary on-site contact for clients, vendors, and internal teams during events at Brick South, Halo, and The Depot. Manage event timelines and execute Banquet Event Orders (BEOs) in coordination with the Bar Manager and other departments. Oversee vendor load-in/load-out, including catering, décor, entertainment, and planners. Ensure all event elements are delivered according to plan, with flexibility to adapt as needed. Provide thoughtful, guest-oriented service and resolve issues with professionalism and positivity. Communication & Coordination Collaborate with the Events Team to ensure smooth transitions between event phases. Maintain clear communication with clients and vendors throughout the event. Document any issues, feedback, or follow-ups for post-event reporting. Venue Oversight Monitor venue cleanliness, safety, and readiness throughout the event. Support bar operations and coordinate with the Bar Manager as needed. Assist with basic troubleshooting (e.g., lighting, sound, layout adjustments). Qualifications 1+ years of experience in event coordination, hospitality, or venue operations. Strong communication and leadership skills. Ability to stay calm under pressure and adapt quickly to changing circumstances. Detail-oriented, organized, and proactive. Comfortable working evenings, weekends, and variable shifts. Able to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs. Preferred Experience Background in live music, food & beverage, or large-scale public events. Familiarity with event production or venue management. Experience working with diverse teams and client types.
