Full Job Description Intro:
We are hiring for a Multi-Unit General Manager for our two locations in Ann Arbor, MI. What You Would Be Doing:
If you chose to work for MSCC in management, you would be leading and overseeing the team at our Ann Arbor locations, managing all day-to-day operations of the businesses, as well as mastering the art of crafting delicious coffee. We expect the Multi-Unit General Manager to be hands-on when needed, but be able to take a step back and focus on continuous development and improvement for our two Ann Arbor locations. We believe that we can always do better, and you're the key to doing so! This position will require extensive knowledge of the needs of the businesses and a strong ability to delegate appropriately. Our managers are individuals who genuinely love people and love helping people learn and grow. Our ideal manager is someone who inspires great work through positive feedback, clear communication, high standards, and knows how to accomplish a variety of tasks while having a ton of fun. They take the time to learn the menu so they can make delicious recommendations and help guide staff on serving the best possible experience every time, ensuring all customers feel cared for and orders are filled correctly. We consider our management team to play a key role in creating the dynamic, high-energy, good vibe atmosphere that our stores are known and loved for. Before our customers ever sip a carefully crafted, responsibly sourced coffee, they count on the manager to set the tone for a team-oriented, respectful workplace where all interactions are fueled by kindness and people leave the store feeling better than they did when they walked in, from the inside out. To summarize, your responsibilities will include: Overseeing the operations of multiple units. Ensuring consistency in customer service, brand standards, and policies. Overseeing Back-of-House (BOH) operations. Training BOH staff, baristas, and other management staff. Coaching other management staff. Driving sales and profitability across all units. Managing labor and operational budgets. Implementing company strategies across units. Hiring, training, and scheduling team members Working as a barista when needed. Developing recipes for fun new menu items. Ordering supplies & scheduling deliveries. Controlling food & beverage inventories and costs. Participating in planning and budgeting with our accounting team. Maintaining records of personnel performance, labor cost, sickness, and overtime. Establishing standards and enforcing rules for cleanliness & sanitation. Directly overseeing the Assistant General Manager (AGM) Delegating tasks effectively to AGM and lead baristas Observing the needs of the businesses and making important decisions based on said observations Working closely with the corporate team - Marketing, Human Resources, and the CEO. Good Fit For Our Team:
Barista experience is absolutely essential as you will be responsible for slinging drinks for our customers, as well as developing recipes for new menu items along the way. Supervisor/Management experience is also required. At the end of the day, we are interested in someone who has a fantastic attitude, operates well under pressure, loves people, is willing and able to enforce a standard of excellence, and doesn't take silly mistakes too seriously.
A few other requirements:
Must be able to work flexible days and hours, including evenings, weekends, and some holidays. Mathematical skills for report/forecast preparation and other calculations. Able to lift at least 60 pounds. Basic computer skills. Good communication and personal skills.
Pay:
$60,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
