  • Part-time, Full-time Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Peer Support and Residential Monitor to join our team.
The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing support and guidance to individuals facing various challenges, including mental health issues, addiction, and behavioral health concerns. The Peer Support and Residential Monitor will be responsible for creating a safe and supportive environment while utilizing their skills in crisis management, mentoring, and motivational interviewing to assist residents in achieving their goals. Duties Conduct regular assessments of residents' needs and progress. Provide crisis intervention as necessary. Facilitate group sessions and individual mentoring to promote personal growth. Implement crisis management strategies to ensure the safety of residents. Display and encourage positive behavioral changes. Collaborate with social workers and other professionals to ensure compliance with comprehensive care plans. Maintain accurate documentation of resident interactions and progress reports. Support residents in navigating systems related to behavioral health and substance use counseling. Assist with admission of residents into the home. I.e., distribution of linens, personal items, and maintain facilities inventory. Ensure residents' success through informing of house rules, conducting room checks, and other requirements as set by the Program Director. Experience Previous experience in peer recovery coaching or related fields is preferred. Familiarity with crisis intervention techniques and systems within the behavioral health sector. Experience in mentoring individuals from diverse backgrounds is a plus. Knowledge of substance use counseling principles is beneficial. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with clients affectively. Proven ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
