In this role, you will serve as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring their visions are brought to life while delivering outstanding guest experiences. Your expertise in event management, customer service, and hospitality will drive the success of each event, fostering repeat business and elevating our reputation for excellence. This position offers an exciting opportunity to showcase your leadership skills and passion for creating memorable occasions in a vibrant hospitality environment. Responsibilities Oversee all aspects of private events and banquets from initial inquiry through post-event follow-up, ensuring seamless execution. Collaborate with clients to understand their needs, preferences, and budgets; provide expert guidance on event planning, menu options, décor, and logistics. Negotiate contracts with clients, vendors, and suppliers to secure favorable terms while maintaining high-quality standards. Coordinate with culinary, service staff, and vendors to ensure timely setup, execution, and breakdown of events. Develop detailed event timelines and manage multiple events simultaneously with excellent time management skills. Implement effective marketing strategies to promote private event bookings through upselling opportunities and targeted outreach. Monitor budgets closely, control costs, and optimize revenue through strategic upselling of catering packages, beverages, and additional services. Lead team members by providing clear communication, training on guest services standards, and fostering a positive work environment. Ensure compliance with health & safety regulations and maintain high standards of cleanliness and organization throughout all event spaces. Gather feedback from clients post-event to continuously improve service quality and client satisfaction. Qualifications Proven experience in banquet management or hospitality roles such as restaurant or hotel event planning; banquet experience is highly preferred. Strong negotiation skills with the ability to close contracts effectively while maintaining positive relationships. Excellent marketing acumen with a focus on event marketing and promoting upselling opportunities. Demonstrated expertise in event planning, catering coordination, and managing large-scale events efficiently. Exceptional customer service skills with a passion for creating memorable guest experiences. Superior organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple events simultaneously under tight deadlines. Effective communication skills to liaise confidently with clients, vendors, staff, and senior management. Experience in budgeting, cost control, and financial reporting related to events management. Familiarity with contracts, fundraising activities (if applicable), and hospitality industry standards across restaurant or hotel settings is advantageous.
