The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive culinary knowledge, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer experiences. This role involves managing kitchen staff, ensuring food quality and safety standards, and maintaining efficient restaurant operations to support both casual dining and fine dining settings. Duties Supervise and coordinate all kitchen activities, including food preparation, cooking, and presentation to ensure high-quality standards. Oversee inventory control, ordering supplies, and managing food stock levels to minimize waste and control costs. Manage POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for order processing, cash handling, and sales reconciliation. Train, mentor, and evaluate kitchen staff on food safety, proper food handling techniques, and customer service protocols. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including food safety standards and sanitation procedures. Assist in shift management by scheduling staff, monitoring performance, and ensuring smooth operation during peak hours. Collaborate with front-of-house teams to deliver seamless service experiences across various dining formats including casual dining, banquet events, catering, and bar service. Participate in interviewing potential staff members and contribute to hiring decisions. Maintain a positive work environment that promotes teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement. Skills Proven experience in food preparation, kitchen management, or restaurant management within quick service or fine dining establishments. Strong knowledge of food safety standards and best practices in the food industry. Proficiency with POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS; cash handling experience is essential. Excellent leadership skills with experience in staff training, supervision, and team management. Ability to manage inventory control effectively while maintaining quality standards. Exceptional customer service skills with a focus on hospitality excellence. Experience in budgeting, cost control, and food production management. Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle shift management efficiently. Culinary expertise complemented by experience in catering or banquet settings is preferred. Leadership qualities that foster a positive team environment along with effective communication skills for interviewing and staff development.
