Part Time Household Manager Confidential Grand Rapids, MI Job Details Part-time $20,000 - $40,000 a year 19 hours ago Benefits 401(k) Paid time off 401(k) matching Qualifications Contractor management Meal preparation Stocking Maintenance management Meal assistance Full Job Description We are seeking a highly organized, service-oriented, and proactive Part-Time Household Manager to help manage the day-to-day operations of a private family household in the greater Grand Rapids area. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys creating order, anticipating needs, coordinating household tasks, and providing a high level of thoughtful, professional service. The position does not include regular childcare responsibilities, as childcare is handled separately by the family's nanny. The Household Manager will instead focus primarily on household operations, home organization, vendor and contractor coordination, errands, light meal support, and helping ensure the home runs smoothly and efficiently. Occasional transportation of the children may be needed from time to time, but this is not anticipated to be a regular or primary responsibility of the role. Particular preference will be given to candidates with a background in hospitality, personal service, household management, concierge service, estate management, or operations. We would also welcome someone with an entrepreneurial mindset who may be interested in serving multiple families over time, building or managing a small support team, and potentially supporting a related multi-family office platform. Key Responsibilities
  • Manage typical household matters to help ensure the home remains clean, organized, functional, and well-maintained.
  • Keep the home tidy and orderly, including general household organization and light daily reset tasks.
  • Handle dishes, kitchen cleanup, and basic household upkeep as needed.
  • Assist with meal planning, grocery shopping, meal preparation, and stocking household essentials.
  • Coordinate and manage household contractors, vendors, repair professionals, cleaners, maintenance providers, and other service providers.
  • Schedule and oversee home maintenance, repairs, seasonal projects, deliveries, and household appointments.
  • Run errands and assist with household purchasing, returns, dry cleaning, supplies, and other family needs.
  • Provide occasional transportation for the children when needed, though childcare and regular transportation are handled separately and are not the focus of this position.
  • Help create and maintain household systems, checklists, schedules, and routines.
  • Communicate clearly with the family, nanny, contractors, and other household service providers to ensure responsibilities are coordinated and not duplicated.
  • Anticipate household needs and proactively identify ways to improve efficiency, organization, and overall quality of life for the family.
  • Maintain discretion, confidentiality, professionalism, and trust in all aspects of the role.
  • Potentially assist with broader family office or multi-family office household support systems as the role evolves.
Pay:
$20,000.00 - $40,000.00 per year
