Job Description

Operations & Event Manager for New Local Business.
Location:
Lansing, MI & surrounding areas (must have reliable transportation)
Pay:

Stax:
Smoothies n' Stax is a fun, fast-growing brunch pop-up brand serving dairy-free smoothies and customizable mini pancake + waffle STAX. We originally launched in Lansing in 2020 as Smoothie Queen , quickly gaining a loyal following for our creative flavors and vibrant brand energy. After temporarily closing after the pandemic, we rebranded as Smoothies n' Stax and came back stronger than ever this summer, gaining momentum at farmer's markets, festivals, and catering events. We're looking for a dependable, hands-on Operations & Event Manager who can step in and help run the brand day-to-day during this transition. We are an independent small business in the start-up phase , which means this role is a great opportunity for someone who wants to grow with a brand from the ground up and be part of shaping something special.
What You'll Do:
Lead pop-up events and catering orders : set up, operate, and take down vendor booths independently (or with a small team) Prep smoothie batches, toppings, and menu items with consistency Manage inventory and restocking needs Provide excellent customer service and represent the brand with energy Train and oversee part-time staff at events (when applicable) Communicate directly with the owner on schedules, needs, and event performance
Who You Are:
Reliable, punctual, and organized —someone who can be trusted to run things correctly without micromanagement Physically able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs (coolers, tents, tables) and work outdoors (rain or shine) Confident leading small events solo or with a team Flexible schedule (must be available on weekends and some weekdays as events require) Experience in food service, events, or management is a plus (but not required if you're a quick learner with a strong work ethic)

Part-time :
10-25 hours/week, based on event schedule
Pay:
