Bakery Manager - A Leadership Role with Heart About the
Position:
We're inviting a very special kind of person to lead our bakery 'Ohana' —Hawaiian for family . Our Nothing Bundt Cakes bakery in Grand Rapids has been open for 8+ years, and we're proud of the culture we've created—a culture rooted in kindness, connection, and community. We're not just looking for a manager. We're looking for a servant leader —someone who thrives in a people-first environment and is ready to grow alongside us. What Success Looks Like:
As Bakery Manager, you'll lead both people and operations, ensuring our team feels supported and our guests feel celebrated.
Your focus will include:
Team Leadership Foster a culture of joy, respect, and accountability. Hire, train, and grow a strong team. Coach in real time and support team development. Build a bench of future leaders. Be present, engaged, and hands-on—this is not a desk job. Business Operations Manage daily operations and scheduling. Own production planning and order fulfillment. Balance labor, costs, inventory, and profitability. Keep the bakery running smoothly and safely. Drive performance with a clear understanding of retail and food service dynamics. Community Engagement Actively participate in local events and outreach. Lead donation and partnership efforts (we've donated over $500,000 to local nonprofits!). Be a joyful ambassador of the Bundt brand and our bakery in the community.

Skills & Experience You Bring:
Highly organized and reliable, with strong follow-through. 1-3 years of leadership experience in retail, hospitality, or food service. Strong people management and communication skills. Comfortable with P&L principles, scheduling, and inventory. Proficient in basic computer programs (Word, Excel, Outlook). Food safety certification (or ability to obtain within 30 days). Schedule & Work Life Full-time role with two days off (Sundays & Mondays). Must be available early mornings, evenings, and weekends as needed.
Bakery Hours:
Monday-Saturday 9am-7pm | Sunday 11am-4pm
