Job Title:
Lake House Assistant General Manager Reports To:
General Manager Summary:
An Assistant General Manager will assist the General Manager in managing all aspects of the restaurant, including staff supervision, inventory management and customer service.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Create a positive, fun, safe and professional work environment Conduct and or assist the GM with interviewing and hiring staff Train new hires and explain policies, procedures and use of equipment Oversee shift management to ensure smooth operations during opening, closing and peak hours Assist with payroll Complete weekly orders for beer, wine, liquor and bar/dining room supplies Assist with daily reconciliation of cash Assist with daily reconciliation reports including sales, house charges, banquet credits, banquet deposits, gift comp trades and other items Assist with monitoring house accounts for payments outstanding or past due and resolve Assist with the POS system to ensure all menus and related activities such as dining room and banquet events Inspect food and presentation to maintain quality standards and sanitation regulations Investigate and resolve food quality and service complaints Issue and redeem gift cards and discounts Keep dining room in clean and orderly condition according to health department regulations Report needed repairs and unsafe conditions Other duties as assigned
