Job Description

Overview Duck Creek RV Resort is seeking a hands-on Food & Beverage Manager to lead operations at the Campfire Grill—our fast-paced, family-friendly snack bar specializing in pizza, wraps, and hand-served ice cream. The Campfire Grill is a central part of the guest experience at Duck Creek, serving campers throughout the day with a focus on quality, consistency, and friendly service. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a casual, high-energy environment and takes pride in creating a great experience for families on vacation. This is a full-time, year-round position with a seasonal rhythm. The summer months are busy and require a strong, consistent leadership presence, while the off-season shifts to planning, preparation, and lighter operational work. We are looking for someone who values this balance and is interested in returning year after year. Responsibilities Peak Season (May-September): Manage daily operations of snack bar and grill Work as a hands-on cook during service Supervise front-of-house and back-of-house staff (primarily seasonal/teen employees) Train staff on customer service, food prep, and standards Maintain food quality, cleanliness, and consistency Assist with hiring, on-boarding, and scheduling Work with ownership on ordering and inventory Off-Season (Fall-Winter): Oversee shutdown, cleaning, and winterization of operations Assist with menu development and planning for next season Attend vendor meetings/food shows as needed Support hiring and preseason training efforts Assist with reopening in spring Qualifications Experience in food service management, kitchen leadership, or shift management Strong leadership skills, especially with younger or seasonal staff Willingness to work both as a manager and a hands-on cook Excellent customer service and communication skills Organized and dependable in a fast-paced environment Ability to work extended hours, weekends, and holidays during peak season Schedule Summer (May-September): ~60 hours/week, 6 days/week
