We're looking for someone who can take ownership of the kitchen, lead the team effectively, and keep operations running smoothly day in and day out.
Responsibilities:
Manage daily kitchen operations and ensure smooth service execution Create and maintain staff schedules based on business needs and labor targets Handle food ordering, vendor relationships, and weekly purchasing through Gordon Food Service, Sysco, and US Foods Monitor and maintain proper inventory levels, conduct regular inventory counts, and control food costs Oversee prep, line execution, plating standards, and overall food quality/consistency Train, lead, and hold kitchen staff accountable for performance, cleanliness, and procedures Maintain labor cost controls and proper staffing levels Ensure compliance with health department regulations, food safety standards, and sanitation procedures Manage waste reduction, portion control, and recipe consistency to protect margins Coordinate equipment maintenance and communicate repair needs promptly Work closely with ownership and front-of-house management to improve efficiency and guest experience Assist with menu development, specials, and operational improvementsQualifications:
Previous experience as a Kitchen Manager, Executive Sous Chef, or similar leadership role in a high-volume restaurant Strong experience with food ordering, inventory management, scheduling, and labor control Familiarity with Gordon Food Service, Sysco, and US Foods ordering systems Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a kitchen team Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and health code compliance ( ServSafe certification preferred ) Ability to thrive under pressure in a fast-paced environment Strong organizational and communication skills Hands-on leader willing to jump in wherever neededWhat We're Looking For:
