Bar Manager

Responsibilities Lead and supervise all bar staff, including hiring, training, and performance management to cultivate a motivated team. Oversee daily bar operations, ensuring adherence to safety standards, food handling protocols, and cleanliness regulations. Manage inventory control by monitoring stock levels, ordering supplies, and minimizing waste through effective food and beverage management. Utilize POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS to process transactions accurately, handle cash responsibly, and reconcile daily sales. Coordinate with kitchen staff to ensure seamless food preparation, especially for bar menu items, cocktails, and quick service offerings. Maintain exceptional customer service by engaging with guests, addressing concerns promptly, and creating a welcoming atmosphere. Implement staff training programs focusing on food safety, customer service excellence, and operational procedures to enhance team performance. Assist in budgeting efforts by controlling costs related to food production, beverage costs, and labor while maximizing profitability. Ensure compliance with health regulations related to food handling, sanitation practices, and alcohol licensing requirements. Experience Proven management experience within a fast-paced restaurant or bar environment; previous assistant manager or supervisory roles are highly valued. Extensive knowledge of food preparation techniques, cocktail mixing, and beverage presentation. Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for efficient transaction processing. Demonstrated ability in inventory control, cash handling, and budgeting within the hospitality industry. Experience working in casual dining or fine dining settings; banquet or catering experience is a plus. Strong leadership skills with the ability to train and develop staff effectively while fostering teamwork. Background in hospitality management or food service management with supervising experience preferred.
