Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Banquet Manager to lead our event services team and ensure flawless execution of all banquet and event functions. In this dynamic role, you will oversee the planning, coordination, and management of a wide variety of events, from corporate gatherings to weddings and social celebrations. Your leadership will drive exceptional guest experiences, maximize revenue opportunities through upselling and marketing initiatives, and uphold the highest standards of hospitality. Duties Lead and supervise the banquet staff to deliver outstanding service and seamless event execution. Collaborate with clients to understand their needs, develop event plans, and customize menus in partnership with catering teams. Manage event logistics including setup, breakdown, and adherence to safety protocols. Coordinate with sales and marketing teams to promote upcoming events and maximize revenue through upselling additional services or packages. Negotiate contracts with clients, vendors, and suppliers to ensure favorable terms while maintaining quality standards. Oversee budgeting responsibilities for events, ensuring cost control while achieving revenue targets. Implement effective event marketing strategies to attract new clients and retain existing ones, fostering long-term relationships. Maintain clear communication with all departments involved in event planning to ensure timely execution. Conduct post-event evaluations to gather feedback for continuous improvement. Uphold guest services excellence by resolving issues promptly and ensuring a welcoming atmosphere for all attendees. Experience Proven experience in banquet management or events management within hospitality, hotel, or restaurant settings. Strong background in catering operations, restaurant service, or hotel event planning preferred. Demonstrated skills in negotiation, contracts management, and upselling techniques. Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple events simultaneously under tight deadlines. Exceptional communication skills for effective collaboration with clients, vendors, and team members. Familiarity with budgeting processes and financial management related to events. Knowledge of marketing strategies specific to hospitality or event services is a plus. Previous experience in fundraising or guest services roles will be advantageous.
