Responsibilities:
The General Manager is responsible for the entire operation and management of the Club, ensuring positive member experience, teamwork, and operational excellence. The General Manager always ensures excellence in Member Services by creating a welcoming environment. Interview, hire, and train new staff. Ensures proper staffing and coverage in the club based on business needs. Conducts all evaluations and performance reviews for all staff in the club. Maintains a clean, organized, and orderly club. Ensures club profitability and financial success. Ensures the safety and protection of the employees and members in the club and the entire club property. Handle timecard administration and properly follow all Planet Fitness policies and guidelines as they pertain to employee pay. Train staff on and execute local and national promotions.
Requirements and Skills:
Must be 18 years of age or older. Minimum of 2 years' experience managing customer-focused teams in the fitness, hospitality, restaurant or similar industry A career path that reflects increasing levels of responsibility and proven success delivering measurable results High School diploma or equivalent required Strong leadership, team building, and coaching skills Exceptional customer service and conflict resolution skills Strong organizational, problem-solving, and planning skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills Continual standing and walking during your shift. Continual talking to members and potential members in person and on the phone during your shift. Must be able to lift 45 pounds. What It Means to Join the
