Job Description
Overview We are seeking a dynamic and energetic General Manager - Restaurant to lead and inspire our team in delivering exceptional dining experiences. This pivotal role combines strategic leadership with hands-on management to ensure operational excellence, superior customer service, and a thriving food service environment. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for hospitality, a strong background in restaurant management, and a commitment to fostering a positive team culture. As the driving force behind daily operations, you will oversee all aspects of restaurant performance, from food quality to staff development, ensuring our standards of excellence are consistently met and exceeded. Duties Lead the overall management of the restaurant, ensuring smooth daily operations and adherence to company standards. Supervise and motivate staff through effective training, coaching, and development initiatives to foster a high-performance team. Oversee food preparation processes, ensuring quality, safety, and consistency across all menu items. Manage inventory control, including ordering, stock rotation, and minimizing waste to optimize profitability. Utilize POS systems such as Aloha POS for order processing, sales tracking, and reporting accuracy. Handle cash management duties including cash handling procedures, reconciliation, and deposit preparation. Maintain compliance with food safety regulations and implement rigorous food handling and sanitation standards. Monitor restaurant performance through key metrics such as sales targets, customer satisfaction scores, and operational costs. Coordinate staffing schedules, shift management, and labor costs to ensure optimal coverage during peak hours. Conduct interviews and participate in hiring processes to build a skilled and motivated team. Oversee kitchen management including food production, culinary standards, and kitchen safety protocols. Plan special events such as banquets or catering services to expand revenue opportunities. Foster a welcoming environment that emphasizes excellent customer service and hospitality at every touchpoint. Requirements Proven experience in restaurant management with a strong background in food service operations across casual dining, quick service, or fine dining environments. Extensive knowledge of food preparation techniques, culinary practices, and food safety standards. Hands-on experience with POS systems like Aloha POS and Micros POS for sales processing and reporting. Demonstrated supervisory experience with staff training & development capabilities. Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate teams and manage conflict effectively. Excellent organizational skills with proficiency in inventory control, budgeting, and cost management. Familiarity with managing multiple shifts including shift management responsibilities. Knowledge of food industry regulations related to health & safety compliance. Experience in managing kitchen operations along with customer service excellence focus. Ability to handle cash transactions accurately while maintaining integrity in financial procedures. Hospitality management experience within hotel or catering settings is a plus. Exceptional communication skills paired with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
