- Full-time Job Summary We are seeking an energetic and dedicated Restaurant Manager to lead our team at a new fast casual gourmet hot dog restaurant called JJ's Dog House.
JJ's Dog House is scheduled to open in the next month and it is located in the new headquarters building of the United States Professional Baseball League, and it is adjacent to UWM Field (formerly Jimmy John's Field). The USPBL owns the new restaurant, which is named are its bat dog JJ, who picks up the bats at the baseball games at UWM Field. In this pivotal role, you will oversee daily restaurant operations, ensure exceptional customer experiences, and maintain high standards of food quality and safety. Your leadership will drive team performance, optimize service efficiency, and foster a welcoming environment that keeps guests coming back. This position offers an exciting opportunity to showcase your management skills in a fast-paced, hospitality-focused setting where passion for food and service excellence reigns supreme. Responsibilities Lead and motivate restaurant staff to deliver outstanding customer service and uphold company standards. Oversee all aspects of daily restaurant operations, including shift management, food preparation, and customer interactions. Manage inventory control, ordering supplies, and ensuring proper food handling and safety protocols are followed. Utilize POS system for accurate cash handling, sales tracking, and reporting. Supervise kitchen activities, including food production, culinary procedures, and maintaining cleanliness in compliance with health regulations. Train new staff members and provide ongoing development opportunities to enhance team skills and performance. Monitor budget adherence, control costs, and implement strategies to maximize profitability while maintaining quality standards. Experience Proven management experience in a quick service or fast food restaurant environment with a strong background in food preparation and kitchen management. Extensive knowledge of POS systems; experience with cash handling is essential. Prior experience in casual dining settings is highly desirable. Demonstrated supervisory skills with a focus on staff training, development, and team management. Familiarity with food safety standards, inventory control practices, and hospitality management principles. Background in managing food industry operations such as food production, catering services, bar operations, or hotel food service is advantageous. Strong leadership qualities with the ability to interview candidates, train staff effectively, and foster a positive work environment.
