Lunds & Byerlys is currently hiring for a vibrant and outgoing Full-Time General Manager to create a sensational shopping experience for our customers! This position works a full-time schedule and earns a competitive salary of $97,000-140,000/year with an at target bonus of 15%. We operate 7 days/week and are open from 6:00am-10:00pm. For this position the employee would be scheduled a range of shifts between 6:00am-10:00pm.
JOB SUMMARY
Manage and direct all aspects of a high service, high touch retail environment in an efficient and disciplined manner that results in exceptional customer service, product excellence, employee engagement and achievement of operational performance targets.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Coach, mentor, and lead direct reports to accomplish goals of the location financial plan and career development goals for each team member Hire, train, and develop direct reports, utilizing succession planning and meetings, performance management, and general supervision of team Cultivate a highly informed and engaged team that reliably delivers the service and hospitality experience that is at the core of the company's brand identity Ensure effective staffing levels by supporting Store Manager with executing Workforce Management Accountable for translating company strategies, objectives and initiatives into actionable items and successfully deploying those throughout their assigned location Monitor departments to ensure food safety requirements are adhered to including hand washing, product and case temping, food storage and employee health and take action as needed to correct unsafe situations. Maintain a safe and secure environment, adhering to all safety, food safety, and security programs, guidelines and regulations Ensure product quality standards, product selection and product merchandising objectives are successfully achieved Review financial performance reports and analyze and interpret data to identify opportunities to obtain cost savings objectives through efficient planning of resources such that operating financial performance targets are achieved Maintain the physical facility utilizing internal and external resources to address and maintain building, grounds and equipment maintenance, security and safety Establish, ensure, and maintain store specific operational standards and ensure compliance with company operational standards Ensure that effective communication, informal and formal, occurs at all levels Participate in the development of annual operational budgets for assigned location including sales, labor, profit and expense objectives Act as an ambassador of the company in the community and at corporate events Monitor local competitive activity and local marketing opportunities and communicate back to Director of Retail Operations and location leadership team Handle work related and customer injuries appropriately to ensure effective resolution and compliance with all reporting requirements
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS 1.
Education a. Bachelor's degree in management, general business, retail or equivalent experience 2. Licensing Required a. Food safety certification or ability to obtain and maintain 3. Experience a. Seven years of experience in the retail industry incorporating a variety of management experiences 4. Other required
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Excellent customer service, interpersonal, communication and problem-solving skills d. Sound judgment and decision-making abilities e. Sound understanding of retail operations f. Knowledge and aptitude of financial reporting systems and concepts g. Strong computer skills (Outlook, Excel, Word) h. Excellent organizational, time management and project management skills i. Strong delegation skills j. Ability to delegate and follow through k. Ability to hold team accountable to standard expectations l. Proven ability to lead and manage a diverse facility m. Comply with USDA, FDA, OSHA and all other regulatory agencies
