Bar Manager Requirements & Qualifications:
2+ years of bar management experience in a high-volume venue Ability to create new and seasonal cocktails, and experience with "batching" Knowledge about whiskey Proven ability to lead and develop a team Strong knowledge of inventory control and bar costing Availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays
Must Haves:
Ability to create weekly staff schedules that balance labor targets and team needs Comfortable conducting and overseeing regular bar inventory counts Proactively manage vendor relationships and liquor orders Hands-on support during service—leading from the floor, not behind a desk Collaborate with events or marketing teams on drink specials and seasonal menus Handle guest issues swiftly to ensure a positive experience
Bar Manager Preferred Background & Skills:
Experience with POS systems and bar management software (e.g., BevSpot, Toast) Knowledge of current mixology trends and cocktail innovation Prior experience opening managing beverage programs Passion for staff training and implementing service standards Hospitality or business management education
