The General Manager at Kruse Lumber is charged with leading and managing the business at our Rochester, MN lumber yard. This integral member of the management team is responsible for driving Company culture and values with all members of the organization, empowering them to maximize performance and efficiency. Strong verbal and written communication skills will be necessary to lead and hold team members accountable.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
Lead, Manage and hold department Accountabilities Develop and Execute Business Plan
- Sales and GM dollars to budget, Capital expenditures, Labor cost management Operations
- Asset Management, Yard and Warehouse efficiencies, Care and keeping of Company assets and facilities Inventory Management
- Inventory turns, cycle counts, replenishment Safety
- Drive a Safety Culture across the organization
THIS IS YOU
The ideal General Manager is a big-picture thinker with strong business acumen and leadership experience managing multiple areas of a company. The successful candidate has a background in Sales and Operations and is ready to serve as the Business leader.
Minimum Requirements:
2 or 4 year degree in Business, Logistics, Distribution, or equivalent experience 5 years progressive management experience, including multiple areas of the company Effective conflict resolution and problem-solving skills using data and analytics Prior P&L responsibility Experience with capital expenditures Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite of products Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check
Preferred:
