Position Overview The General Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the restaurant while leading and developing a high-performing team. This role ensures operational excellence, outstanding guest service, and strong financial performance. The ideal candidate is an experienced restaurant leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment, takes pride in developing people, and is committed to maintaining the high standards that Jersey Mike's is known for. Key Responsibilities Lead, coach, and develop team members to deliver exceptional customer service and operational execution Manage daily restaurant operations, including staffing, shift management, and performance oversight Oversee cash handling procedures and ensure accurate financial controls Manage inventory levels, conduct weekly inventory counts, and place vendor orders Ensure all food preparation meets Jersey Mike's quality and consistency standards Maintain strict compliance with food safety, sanitation, and company policies Monitor restaurant performance and collaborate with leadership on strategies to improve sales, efficiency, and profitability Complete administrative responsibilities including reporting, scheduling, and operational planning Qualifications Previous leadership or management experience in the restaurant or food service industry preferred Experience with cash handling, inventory management, and food preparation operations Strong understanding of food safety and sanitation standards Excellent leadership, communication, and team-building skills Ability to multitask and lead effectively in a fast-paced environment Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Requirements Must be at least 18 years of age Ability to work flexible schedules, including evenings, weekends, and holidays Proven ability to lead teams and manage restaurant operations Why Join Jersey Mike's?
