reviews $25•$30 an hour•Full-time Position Summary The Bar Manager at A'BULAE/Le VENERÉ reports directly to the General Manager. This role is a hands-on position responsible for overseeing beverage operations while actively bartending at weddings, corporate events, and social gatherings. Approximately 10-12 hours per week are dedicated to administrative duties, including inventory management, ordering, training, and event preparation, while the remainder of the workweek is spent providing exceptional bar service during events. This position works closely with the Banquet Event Managers and Hospitality Planners. This role is ideal for an experienced bartender who enjoys leading a team, maintaining operational excellence, and delivering memorable guest experiences while remaining actively involved in event execution. Key Responsibilities Serve as the lead bartender for weddings, corporate events, and venue-hosted functions. Deliver exceptional guest service and create a welcoming, professional atmosphere. Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to venue standards. Ensure bars are properly stocked, organized, and event-ready. Assist with event setup, execution, and breakdown as needed. Support bartending staff during high-volume service periods. Address guest concerns and service issues professionally and efficiently. Uphold responsible alcohol service practices at all times. Participate in group tastings and client-facing events while overseeing the development, batching, and execution of specialty beverage offerings for weddings and special events. Develop, refine, and implement signature cocktails and beverage features while ensuring recipes can be consistently and efficiently executed during high-volume event service. Leadership & Team Development Lead by example through professionalism, teamwork, and guest-focused service. Assist with hiring, onboarding, and training bartenders and bar support staff. Provide ongoing coaching and performance feedback. Conduct pre-event team meetings as needed and communicate service expectations. Help foster a positive and collaborative team culture. Administrative Responsibilities Manage beverage inventory and perform regular inventory counts. Order liquor, beer, wine, mixers, and bar supplies. Maintain relationships with vendors and distributors. Assist with bartender scheduling and staffing needs as needed. Review upcoming event details and prepare staffing and inventory plans accordingly. Monitor beverage costs, product usage, and inventory accuracy. Conduct weekly bar readiness checks, ensuring event banks, inventory, supplies, glassware, mixers, garnishes, and specialty beverage components are prepared and in place for all upcoming events. Compliance & Safety Ensure compliance with all venue policies and state liquor regulations. Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in all bar areas. Ensure safe alcohol service practices are consistently followed. Maintain compliance records and ensure all staff certifications remain current. Qualifications Minimum 2-3 years of bartending experience required. Previous leadership, supervisory, or management experience preferred. Experience in weddings, catering, banquet facilities, restaurants, hotels, or event venues strongly preferred. Strong knowledge of beer, wine, spirits, and cocktail preparation. Demonstrated knowledge of cocktail creation and beverage development, with the ability to design, test, and implement new drink offerings. Excellent communication, organization, and guest service skills. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced event environment. Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities. Ability to stand and walk for extended periods during events. Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds. Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays, especially during peak wedding season. Schedule Expectations Approximately 35-40 hours per week. 10-12 hours dedicated to administrative and management responsibilities. Remaining hours spent actively bartending and supporting event execution. Weekend and evening availability required.

$25.00•$30.00 per hour
