Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and energetic Kitchen Manager to lead our culinary team and oversee daily kitchen operations. This vital role combines culinary expertise with strong management skills to ensure exceptional food quality, safety, and customer satisfaction. As a Kitchen Manager, you will be responsible for maintaining efficient kitchen workflows, supervising staff, managing inventory, and upholding the highest standards of food safety and hospitality. Your leadership will inspire a motivated team dedicated to delivering outstanding dining experiences in a fast-paced environment. Duties Oversee all aspects of kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and presentation to ensure consistency and quality. Supervise and train kitchen staff on food handling, safety protocols, and culinary techniques to foster skill development and teamwork. Manage inventory control by monitoring stock levels, ordering supplies, and minimizing waste to optimize food costs. Implement and maintain food safety standards in compliance with health regulations and company policies. Coordinate with front-of-house teams to ensure smooth service flow, timely order fulfillment, and excellent customer service. Utilize POS systems such as Clover POS for order processing, cash handling, and sales reconciliation. Lead shift management by scheduling staff, assigning tasks, and ensuring operational efficiency during busy periods. Conduct regular staff performance evaluations, interviewing candidates for hiring opportunities, and supporting ongoing training initiatives. Monitor kitchen equipment maintenance and cleanliness to uphold hygiene standards across the facility. Assist in budgeting efforts by controlling labor costs, food expenses, and implementing cost-saving measures without compromising quality. Requirements Two years of experience in food service management within quick service or fast food restaurants; casual dining or fine dining experience is highly valued. Strong background in food preparation, cooking techniques, and culinary arts with a focus on quality assurance. Demonstrated supervisory experience with team management, training & development skills essential for fostering a positive work environment. Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS for transaction processing and reporting. Knowledge of inventory control practices including ordering, stock rotation, and waste reduction strategies. Excellent understanding of food safety standards and proper handling procedures aligned with health regulations. Experience managing budgets, controlling costs, and implementing operational improvements effectively. Exceptional leadership abilities combined with excellent customer service skills to enhance guest satisfaction. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail and organizational efficiency.
