Joey B's Food & Drink is a lively casual dining spot that will located in Lake St.
Louis, offering a diverse menu that includes pizzas, burgers, pastas, and appetizers. As part of the Gianino Family of restaurants, we pride ourselves on creating a welcoming atmosphere perfect for families, friends, or date nights, while providing rewarding careers for both front and back of house team members. Job Summary We're looking for an energetic and detail-oriented Assistant Manager to help lead our restaurant team. In this role, you'll be instrumental in ensuring smooth daily operations, delivering excellent customer service, and maintaining high standards in food quality and safety. The ideal candidate is passionate about hospitality, experienced in restaurant management, and eager to motivate and develop staff in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities Oversee daily restaurant operations, ensuring efficient service and guest satisfaction. Assist with staff training and development to uphold service standards and food quality. Manage shift schedules, monitor labor costs, and support budgeting efforts. Supervise food preparation, kitchen management, and food safety practices to ensure compliance with health regulations. Handle inventory control, including stock rotation and ordering to minimize waste and control costs. Use POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS for order processing, cash handling, and reporting. Support hiring processes by interviewing candidates and onboarding new team members. Requirements Prior assistant manager or supervisory experience in a quick service or fast food restaurant preferred. Strong knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and food safety standards. Experience with POS systems like Aloha POS or Micros POS is highly desirable. Excellent leadership skills with a proven ability to train and develop staff. Familiarity with inventory control, budgeting, and food management practices. Exceptional customer service skills with the ability to handle guest concerns professionally. Ability to thrive in a busy environment while maintaining attention to detail.
