Job Description

The Archdiocese of St. Louis strives to teach and share our faith, serve others, and foster unity throughout the St. Louis area. Once a part of Kenrick-Glennon Seminary's campus, the Cardinal Rigali Center in Shrewsbury, MO is today the headquarters and curia (governing body) for the Archdiocese of St. Louis.

Job Summary The House Manager is responsible for the general upkeep and cleanliness of the UMSL Catholic Newman Center.

Job Responsibilities Weekly cleaning:

Kitchen
  • Dishes:
    load/unload dishwasher
  • Clean counters
  • Sweep floors
  • Beat the doormats outside
  • Take out trash
  • Restock hand soap, paper towels, dish soap
  • Replace towels with clean towelsDining Room
  • Organize stuff
  • Wipe down/wash tables
  • Restock napkinsLiving Room
  • Fluff/place pillows
  • Sweep/vacuumBathrooms
  • Wipe down/wash toilet
  • Clean sink
  • Sweep
  • Take out trash
  • Replace dirty towels with clean towels
  • Replace toilet paper
  • Sweep all floors; vacuum chapel and study room
  • Collect and take out trash and recycling from all bins in house
  • Restock supplies (soap and towels in bathrooms and kitchen, toilet paper, paper towels) Bi-weekly Cleaning
  • Dust chapel (dust everything, also use broom to get rid of spider webs
  • Throw out old food in fridgeMonthly Cleaning
  • Mop kitchen and bathrooms
  • Clean bathroom mirrors There may be other duties and tasks provided by the Campus Minister.
Job Requirements Approximately 6 hours a week, depending on personal schedule and the Center's needs as discussed with the Campus Minister.
