This position reports to the General Manager of the restaurant. Responsibilities
  • Interviewing, hiring, scheduling and training the service team-hosts, SAs, servers, food runners and bartenders
  • while maintaining the restaurant's labor budget.
  • Respond to guest comments/complaints and address training and motivational opportunities.
  • Plan and coordinate large party dinners (more than 10, less than 20) by managing availability, labor levels and special menus.
  • Direct the host stand using Open Table while managing the flow of guests to servers and bartenders.
  • Manage the floor and touch each table to ensure efficient restaurant operation, as well as maintain productivity, consistent quality and guest-service standards.
  • Ensure compliance with sanitation and safety regulations.
We expect our managers to lead by example and uplift our staff during busy moments in a fast-paced environment. Skills Proven work experience as a Restaurant Manager, Hospitality Manager or similar role Proven guest service experience as a manager Extensive food and beverage knowledge, with ability to remember and recall ingredients and dishes to inform customers and service staff Familiarity with restaurant management software, like OpenTable and POS programming, 7 shifts. Strong leadership, motivational and people skills Financial management skills BS degree in hospitality management or culinary schooling is a plus
