The General Manager drives operational excellence and profitability, ensures physical plant management and operational fluidity, delivers outstanding guest and community relations, and manages staff schedules, performance and training of the Residence Inn in Bozeman. The General Manager is a dynamic leader who represents the best interests of the employer with integrity and honesty utilizing Veridea Best Practices regarding audits, inventory controls, and staff management. Essential Functions Oversee daily operations of hotel to achieve brand and Veridea standards of service and guest satisfaction. Implement and ensure compliance with, and adherence to, Veridea and brand standards, policies, and procedures, to include Staff Schedule, Inventory Based Ordering, Front Desk Sales Log and Procedures, property maintenance, safety, etc. Lead, mentor, train, support, recruit, hold accountable and manage performance of all hotel staff to achieve brand and Veridea goals and maintain a positive work environment. Manage financial performance, including budgeting, forecasting, and cost control. Meets or exceeds the hotel's annual revenue and budget performance goals. Collaborate with corporate teams to drive marketing, sales, and revenue management strategies including in-house corporate sales price quoting and group sales. Monitor and manage booking demand/pace/pricing and room inventories, and ensure reports are maintained to Veridea standards and are submitted to the Director of Revenues and Marketing. Attend and actively participate in regularly scheduled rate management meetings. Ensure the hotel's success in passing the quarterly Veridea Hotel Audit. Demonstrates a working knowledge of all services and facilities of the hotel, as well as the local area to effectively assist guests. Understands and applies all hotel safety and security procedures to maintain a secure and safe environment for employees and guests. Keeps immediate supervisor promptly and fully informed of all problems or unusual matters of significance coming to his/her attention so prompt corrective action can be taken; also, provides potential solutions to the problems noticed. Ensures that guest issues are dealt with appropriately. Proactively looks for opportunities to improve operations. Adheres to, and ensures staff adherence to, all policies, procedures, and federal, state, and local laws, regarding personnel, security, guest relations, and safety, and Health Department and other regulatory requirements. Performs all other duties as assigned or requested. Skills and Qualifications Has a minimum of five years of hospitality/hotel experience at the supervisory level or above. Engages in a friendly and cheerful manner; interacts easily with strangers. Works independently with little supervision. Possesses strong organizational skills and detail orientation. Meets sales requirements. Addresses issues in a solution-oriented manner. Cooperates with and supports others. Observes, reacts quickly, adjusts, and appropriately manages unusual interpersonal and operations situations, maintaining self-control at all times. Performs work in an efficient manner, balancing many priorities, and demonstrating excellent time management skills. Follows directives efficiently and requests assistance and/or direction in a timely and appropriate manner. Adheres to Veridea grooming and appearance standards.
Reporting:
The General Manager reports to the VP of Hotel Operations and Veridea Group Management team. The General Manager supervises, either directly or indirectly, all hotel personnel including assistant general manager, supervisors, and staff.Benefits:
