Job Description

We are hiring for 1st and 2nd shift Production Supervisors for a company in Burlington NC and Brown Summit NC Schedule
  • Monday to Friday (7a to 4pm) or (12pm to 9pm) (depending on production) Pay
  • $60,000
  • 70,000 per year Location
  • Burlington NC and Brown Summit NC Industry
Food Manufacturing Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Responsible for providing supervision, coaching, and guidance to the hourly employees in the Quality, Production, and Packing departments. Promptly reports any problems in the daily processing of products to the Department Manager, VP-Ops or designee. Refers employees with any job-related problems to the VP-Ops, Human Resources Department or designee. Responsible for meeting or exceeding the written specifications for all production processes and products through the monitoring of daily reports, raw material usage, packaging material usage and employee activity. Recommends changes or improvements when necessary. Supervises all activity relating to the proper cleaning and sanitizing of all equipment and production area of the department. Responsible for directing and coordinating the activities in the production departments based on the production schedule prepared by the VP-OPS or designee. Communicates with support departments on areas affecting the overall performance of the facility. Assists in daily attendance monitoring through the use of APS system. Assists in the training of operations of production and cleaning equipment. Assists in enforcing company policies and regulations. Assist with operating equipment and other daily requirements to maintain production output in order to support customer demands. Training employees to perform their designated task in alignment with GMP, FDA and USDA guidelines, policies and procedures. Work directly with employees and staff to troubleshoot root cause for long term solutions and improvements within the facility.
Job Requirements:
Able to lift up to 50 lbs. repetitively. Ability to climb portable ladders and climb steps/stairs several times during shift. Physical ability to perform tasks that may require prolonged standing, sitting, lifting, climbing, and other activities necessary to perform job duties. Ability to work as part of a team and meet assigned deadlines. Work comfortably in a fast-paced environment. Able to work independently with minimal supervision. Follow safety standards and GMP practices while working with multiple services, tools, and equipment. Perform any and all other duties as instructed by the VP of Ops (or designee), or any other management staff respectfully. Maintain attendance record above the standard and lead by example.
Mandatory Job Qualifications:
Previous manufacturing experience required. Food processing experience preferred. Able to lift up to 50 lbs. on a regular basis
