Dunn, NC Job Details $50,000 - $55,000 a year 1 day ago Qualifications Customer communication ServSafe Writing skills In-person customer service Meal preparation Full Job Description Deli-Bakery Manager As a Deli Bakery Manager, with Carlie C's, you are responsible for managing the food service operations within the department and store. The department manager ensures that the food service program follows all policies and procedures, while meeting the federal and state requirements, as well. Excelling in food preparation, cleanliness of the department, and its entirety, within the store, and superior customer service are all keys to succeeding, in this position! Primary Responsibilities Oversee the day-to-day operations, which will include the preparing and serving of food(s). Responsible for leading the department, as a team, in order to complete daily tasks as needed, all while reinforcing positive behaviors and attitudes, among the department. Plans for and purchases food for the food service program, which may include order writing, scanning, stocking, rotating and merchandising. Ensure food, in storage, meets adequate levels of nutrition and sustenance. Maintain required records including food production, inventory, income/expense, recording shrink, and meal counts. Ensure the program complies and follows proper sanitation procedures, within the department. Preside over food service employees, including cooks, food preparers, and food servers. Monitor and ensure all safety standards are maintained while food is being handled and cooked, including the temperature(s). Respond to all customer preferences and complaints with positive behavior. Plan and budget for menus and future meals. Maintain the cleanliness of the equipment in the department, including but not limited to refrigerators, stoves, and microwaves, self-serve food bars. Recruit, hire, and train fellow employees, in the department. Be able to properly enter department staff schedules, to comply with company policy, that meet the standards of your store location, all while meeting the department's wage cap. Any and all other daily operational duties as directed by your supervisor. Qualifications ServSafe certified is a must. Extensive food preparation experience is required. Excellent customer service skills are required. Must be able to work a changing schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays. Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills. Previous catering experience is a plus. Competitive compensation is negotiable based upon experience.
